LEAD PASTORS

Pastor Trey and Monte Powell have served together as Lead Pastors at Center Point
Church since 2021. Together, they are passionate about helping people encounter Jesus, grow in authentic community, and discover God’s purpose for their lives.

Trey grew up in a pastor’s home and now continues a legacy his father, Bishop Tommy
Powell, began at Center Point Church. After graduating from Lee University in 2007, Trey stepped into full-time ministry with a passion for the local church. He leads with two core convictions: Preach the Gospel Unashamedly and Love God’s People Fiercely.

As a pastor’s kid and licensed minister with the Church of God, Monte has always loved the local church. She is passionate about using creativity to communicate the Gospel, creating environments where people can encounter Jesus, as well as helping women grow in faith and community.

Lifelong friends before marrying in 2010, Trey and Monte’s family grew through the adoption of their son, Kai, in 2020. They believe deeply in relational ministry, raising up and equipping leaders, and investing in the next generation.

Outside of ministry, they love making memories together through family vacations and adventures. Trey enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, and cheering on Georgia Tech, while Monte loves great coffee, the beach, discovering new restaurants, and a good shopping trip!
