TREY

Pastor Trey, affectionately known as PT, has served as Lead Pastor of Center Point Church since July 2021, continuing a legacy his father, Bishop Tommy Powell, began as Lead Pastor from 1995 to 2010. Though he grew up in a pastor’s home, PT’s own fulltime ministry journey began upon his graduation from Lee University in 2007.

In 2010, PT married his lifelong friend, Monte Addis, and in 2020 they welcomed the light of their life, Kai Thomas Powell. PT is passionate about the local church, believing it is the vehicle God has chosen to reach people with the love of Jesus Christ. He leads by two non-negotiables: Preach the Gospel Unashamedly, and Love God’s People Fiercely.

An avid outdoorsman, PT spends his free time hunting, fishing, hiking, and enjoying quality time with his family. He’s a proud fan of Atlanta’s sports teams, but his first love will always be the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
